The Dynamics GP Partner That Stays — And Helps You Move When You’re Ready
Dynamics GP support, optimization, cloud hosting, and Business Central migration — from a team with 33 years of GP experience.
Your GP partner retired. The big firms push Business Central before you’re ready. The boutique shops say “stay on GP forever” but can’t help you plan for what comes next. Argus does both — and lets you decide which is right for your business, on your timeline, without the sales pressure.

Dynamics GP Support, Hosting, and Migration — One Partner, Every Option
Argus Consulting Group is a Microsoft Dynamics GP partner in Pasadena, California. We help companies get more out of the GP system they already have — and migrate to Business Central when they’re ready. Not before. Not never.
We’ve been supporting Dynamics GP since 1993. While large partners shift to Business Central and boutique shops refuse to plan for it, we do both. For the full picture of what Argus does across accounting and financial systems, see our solutions overview.
What that looks like:
One partner. One team. One call.
- GP Support
- GP Optimization
- Cloud Hosting
- BC Migration
Three Problems Every Dynamics GP User Hits Eventually
If you run Microsoft Dynamics GP, chances are you’ve already run into at least one of these:
Your GP partner moved on.
Your original VAR retired, got acquired, or pivoted to Business Central. You’re still running GP. They’re not. When you call, you get a junior tech who has to look up the answer — or you get pushed toward a migration you didn’t ask for. You’re paying for Dynamics GP support from someone who mentally left the platform two years ago.
You hired a big firm and became a ticket number.
You went with a large Microsoft partner — 150 employees, awards on the wall, polished website. But your account gets routed to whoever’s available. You’re explaining your GP configuration from scratch on every call. The bills are hourly, the hours keep climbing, and the problems aren’t getting fixed.
Your GP-only partner has no plan for 2029.
You found a boutique firm that knows GP. But when you ask about Business Central — when the end-of-life deadline comes up and your board starts asking questions — they shrug. They don’t do migrations. Their answer to “what’s our plan?” is “stay on GP forever.” That works until it doesn’t.
Argus sits in the gap between all three.
Why Companies Running Dynamics GP Choose Argus
33 years of Dynamics GP experience. 80 years combined across the team.
When you call Argus, you talk to a senior GP consultant — not a junior tech who has to Google the answer. Our team brings 80 years of combined Dynamics GP expertise. That’s concentrated knowledge on every engagement, not a staffing model where your problem gets routed to whoever’s bench is open.
Optimize your GP system before spending $200K on a new one.
Most Dynamics GP users are only using about 30% of what the platform can do. Before you migrate, let us show you what you’re already paying for. We’ve taken clients from 100 hours per month on a task down to 20 — not by replacing their system, but by configuring GP correctly.
Non-pressure advice. Your timeline. Your decision.
“We want to be the group that gives you the option. Not pressure — options.” That’s how our founder, Stephen Tanner, actually talks. We’ll show you what staying on GP looks like, what optimizing looks like, what migrating to Business Central looks like, and what each option costs. Then you decide.
A Dynamics GP partner that’s still here.
Argus commits to supporting Dynamics GP through 2036 — seven years beyond Microsoft’s December 2029 end-of-life date, and five years beyond the April 2031 security patch cutoff. While other partners exit, Argus stays. That’s not a tagline. It’s a commitment with a date on it.
33 Years on One Platform
Founded 1989. Supporting Dynamics GP since 1993.
Working with Microsoft Dynamics GP, continuously, since 1993. Through two recessions, through COVID, and through Microsoft’s shift toward Business Central.
Combined Dynamics GP expertise across the team. A senior consultant picks up the phone. Every time.
Hours per month on a single task, reduced by configuring GP correctly instead of replacing it. Real client data, not a projection.
The year Argus has committed to supporting Dynamics GP through — seven years past Microsoft’s end-of-life date.
What Is Dynamics GP Consulting?

Built on 33 Years in the Trenches With Dynamics GP
Stephen Tanner founded Argus Consulting Group in 1989 and brought the firm to Dynamics GP in 1993. He wanted to specialize — to actually master one platform instead of being a generalist who dabbles in everything.
Through recessions in 2001 and 2008, through COVID, through Microsoft’s shift toward Business Central, Argus has stayed on GP. Not because it’s the easy path, but because thousands of companies are still running it and deserve a partner who actually knows it.
“It wasn’t the time that it took — it was the value of the solution.”
— Stephen Tanner, Founder
That’s how Stephen explains the Argus model. Expertise that finds the answer faster than anyone else. You pay for the solution, not the clock.

Dynamics GP Questions
Is Dynamics GP still supported by Microsoft?
Yes, through December 2029 for product updates, tax updates, and technical support. Security patches continue through April 2031. After that, Microsoft stops updating it, but the software keeps running. Microsoft’s official Dynamics GP documentation carries the end-of-life timeline. Argus has committed to supporting GP through 2036.
Should I migrate to Business Central or stay on GP?
Depends on your situation. If GP can do what your business needs and you’re only using 30% of it, optimization might be the better move. If you’ve genuinely outgrown GP, or you need cloud-native capabilities GP can’t provide, migration makes sense. The assessment answers this question with real data, not guesswork.
How much does Dynamics GP support cost?
Annual contracts typically run $50K to $150K and bundle hosting with support. Focused optimization projects cost less. The assessment gives you a scope and number before you commit.
What happens to my GP system after 2029?
Nothing breaks. Nothing shuts off. End-of-life means end of Microsoft support, not end of function. Your data stays, your configurations stay, the software keeps running. What you lose is tax updates, security patches, and the ability to call Microsoft. That’s where a partner like Argus comes in. We’ve committed to supporting GP through 2036, and Microsoft publishes its own lifecycle dates if you want to check them yourself.
Can you help if we’re on an older version of GP?
Yes. We support every version from GP 9.0 through the current 18.8. If you’re on GP 2016 or earlier, an upgrade to 18.x is usually a smaller project than a full migration, and it buys you time.
Do we need to be in California?
No. We’re in Pasadena but we work with companies across the US and Canada. Remote support, cloud hosting, and virtual consulting are how most of our clients work with us.
